  We don't often get involved in the relaying of information on new laws coming out of Washington but we hve received numerous calls concerning cellphones so if you drive you need to pay attention.             Right To Work is a RIPOFF

 "THE RIPOFF IS SIGNED IN INDIANA"

 It looks as if R.T.W. is coming back to Missouri! Thats right here we go again. An Initiative was to be filed in Jefferson City by Greg Johns asking that Missourians not be forced [his words not mine] to join a Union, or [Translation] create a law that keeps them from bargaining together as a group to get the best possible wage and benefit package.

90 DAY EXTENSION SIGNED

 A 90 day extension agreement has been implemented by both sides expiring April 13, 2012. This extension removes pickets and allows both sides to return to the table in hopes of reaching an agreement. To those who manned the lines {and their wives} GOOD JOB! All Teamster work will once again be reclaimed and prejobs done in compliance with the agreement.  Once again Good Job !!!

RALLY AND MARCH

 Come and Join Joint Council #13 in a rally and March for JOBS! Our county bridges, street,and schools are crumbling, our communities are suffering from a shortage of teachers, health care workers, police officers and other critical workforces. Meanwhile 14 million Americans are struggling to find work. Or lost their unemployment benefit that held their family together with no extension in sight.

 It's time for Congress to invest in good jobs by putting Americans to work rebuilding our social and physical infastructure, not giving tax breaks to big banks and corporations making record profits. Be sure to mark your calender and join your brothers and sisters.

UPDATE:

 The Jobs rally was a success hundreds of marchers showed up to voice their complaints with the lack of progress in the creation of new American jobs! as well as the outsourcing of the same. The march started at Kiener Plaza and went through the city stopping at the MLK bridge.

 A police line was set up preventing the marchers from shutting down traffic to the bridge but a group of marchers including Gary Elliott of the Eastern Missouri Laborers quietly sat down in protest thereby giving the St. Louis. City Police a reason to implement arrests. In all it was a success and the anger in the Middleclass over lack of will in Washington still continues to rise WE NEED JOBS....
